DIF 2023 : a successful comeback

The International Exhibition Centre will host the 3rd edition of the Djibouti International Fair (DIF), organized by the Chamber of Commerce. The largest gathering of the Djiboutian and regional business community, DIF aims to bring together economic players to facilitate integration in the Horn of Africa. With Djibouti as the hub of regional trade.

After a four-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Djibouti International Fair (DIF) is making a comeback. This 3rd edition will be held from December 3 to 10, 2023 at the Djibouti International Exhibition Centre.

The last edition, in 2018, brought together economic players from around twenty countries. Companies came from the region and from all over the world. In total, three hundred exhibitors representing various sectors of the economy and more than 11,000 local and international visitors in search of business opportunities gathered in Djibouti. This success confirms the central position of Djibouti and its fair, which has become the most important business event in the region with the aim of contributing to economic integration.

A symbol of Djibouti’s economic resilience

While the Djibouti Trade Fair aims to strengthen links between regional and international players, it also contributes to the growth and prosperity of the country’s economy. The return of the event confirms the economic recovery of a country that has become the commercial and logistical hub between Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Europe, attracting interest from all quarters.

As a showcase for this economic dynamism, the DIF is part of a drive towards greater regional integration. It is helping to strengthen trade links between Djibouti and its neighbors, encouraging cross-border trade and paving the way for new investment and cooperation opportunities.

Spotlight on Djibouti’s private sector and expertise

This international event will showcase Djibouti’s private sector companies, crafts and innovations, and through them, the Made in Djibouti. The presence of national exhibitors will reflect the country’s business opportunities in high-potential sectors such as logistics, infrastructure, energy, tourism and hospitality, telecommunications and manufacturing.

With Djibouti as a gateway to other booming African markets. Finally, the richness of the program will reflect the ambitions of the fair and the host country. On the menu: roundtables, B2B exchanges and cultural immersions to get to know Djibouti better.
