Diaspora: Investo in Senegal signs its partnership with 52 companies supported by the program PLASEPRI/PASPED
Within the framework of the PLASEPRI/PASPED program (Project to contrast irregular migration
migration through the support to the Private Sector and to the Creation of Jobs in Senegal), the Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation) proceeded, in Dakar, to the official contracting of 52 companies
accompanied by the initiative Investo in Senegal.
It is part of the PASPED project which aims to reduce irregular migration and encourage productive investment of the diaspora and the transfer of skills acquired over the years through the experience of migration.
Nearly 1,200 applications were received. The financing of these diaspora businesses represents more than 1.1 M€.
