The Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) crossed the mark of 13 billion dollars (8,000 billion FCFA) of capitalization of its stock market, at the close of its trading session on Tuesday September 12, 2023 by establishing itself at 8,002.22 billion FCFA, an increase of 5.85% since the start of 2023. With this new milestone, the overall market capitalization of the BRVM stands at 18,184.20 billion FCFA or approximately 30 billion US dollars, representing approximately 16% of the GDP of the UEMOA zone.
