Botswana: Botswana Minerals launches a copper exploration program in Ngamiland covering 7,074 km²

Botswana copper exploration project in Ngamiland using AI technology

Botswana Minerals plc has initiated a Phase 1 exploration program on its copper licences in Ngamiland, in north-west Botswana. The area spans 7,074 km² within the Damara Belt, according to the company. The program relies on the Planetary AI Xplore platform to combine geological, historical, satellite and public datasets to define priority drilling targets. The presence of Kalahari cover constrains conventional exploration methods, prompting a data-driven approach. Funding comes from a £1.15 million capital raise, equivalent to about $1.45 million. Exact announcement date not disclosed.
