AWAD Summit 2025 : Amazigh women from the diaspora honored in Paris
From May 1 to 4, 2025, Paris will host the first edition of the AWAD Summit, a unique event dedicated to Amazigh women from the diaspora. Featuring workshops, conferences, and a gala evening at the Folies Bergère, the summit will highlight the inspiring journeys of women committed to preserving and promoting Amazigh culture.
The AWAD Summit 2025 (Amazigh Women Awards from Diaspora) will take place from May 1 to 4, 2025, in Paris. Initiated by artist Raïssa Leï and her dedicated team, this summit aims to celebrate Amazigh women from the diaspora through a series of cultural and professional events.
Activities will kick off on May 1 at La Bellevilloise (19-21 Rue Boyer, 75020 Paris), with dance workshops, conferences, and roundtables. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in traditional Amazigh dances such as Reggada, Aalaoui, and Ahwach, as well as in contemporary styles like hip-hop and voguing.
A platform to celebrate the cultural richness and significant contributions of Amazigh women around the world
The highlight of the summit will be the gala evening on May 3, 2025, at the prestigious Folies Bergère (32, rue Richer, 75009 Paris). This evening will honor Amazigh women from the diaspora with awards in seven key categories, interspersed with artistic performances combining dance, singing, and music.
