Algeria: UN forecasts lower inflation for 2019 and 2020
DaIn its global economic forecast, the United Nations has announced that Algeria’s inflation rate is expected to drop sharply to 2.9 percent in 2019 and to 2.2 percent in 2020. Numbers far from falling projections to 4.5% of the Algerian government. The UN also forecasts a decline in the country’s economic growth, which will be 2.2% in 2019 and should rise to 2.8% in 2020. These forecasts are the result of studies conducted by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the five regional economic commissions of the United Nations.
