Airtel Africa : strong performance in H1 2024

Despite macroeconomic turbulence, Airtel Africa demonstrates robust results. Total customer base grew by 9%, reaching 152.7 million. Data service subscribers surged by 17.8% (64.4 million). The company invests in distribution to foster financial inclusion and enhances 4G coverage. Revenue at constant rates rose by 20.9%. After-tax losses amounted to $89 million, primarily due to exchange rate fluctuations. A $100 million share buyback program was approved.
