South Africa’s FSCA has granted 248 licenses to crypto asset service providers (CASPs) since June 2023. Out of 420 applications, 9 were denied, and 56 are under review. Companies must comply with regulations by June 30, 2025, to avoid suspension. As a regulatory pioneer in Africa, South Africa strengthens its framework to ensure the industry’s controlled growth.
