Rwanda and the Kuwait Fund have signed a $20 million financing agreement to rehabilitate the Muhanga-Nyange road. The deal was signed on May 30 by Finance Minister Uzziel Ndagijimana and Waleed Al-Bahar, Acting Director General of KFAED, during the African Development Bank Annual Meeting in Nairobi.
This financing will complete the Rubengera-Muhanga road project, divided into three sections: Rubengera-Rambura (15.15 km) financed by the Saudi Fund, Rambura-Nyange (22 km) supported by the Abu Dhabi Fund, and Nyange-Muhanga (24 km) financed by KFAED.
