Tourism : Kenya wants to increase the sector’s contribution to $6.2 billion
Through its strategic plan which aims to reach 5.5 million international tourist arrivals over the period 2023-2028, Kenya aims to increase the contribution of the tourism sector to the country’s economy to 1 trillion Kenyan shillings ($6.2 billion). With the support of the private sector and other key industry players, authorities estimate that performance will even exceed 2019’s 2 million arrivals, and gradually beyond.
