Global Attractiveness Index 2025 : Mauritius, Egypt, and Algeria lead investment appeal

The Global Attractiveness Index 2025 ranks Mauritius (76th), Egypt (78th), and Algeria (78th) as the most attractive African economies for multinational companies and foreign direct investment (FDI) among 146 countries studied, representing 98% of global GDP and 94% of the world population.
This assessment is based on around fifty indicators, including FDI flows, governance, innovation, and human capital, showing that most African economies remain less competitive in meeting institutional efficiency requirements and integrating into global value chains.
