East Africa : Paratus activates 2 000 km fibre corridor

On 9 February 2026, Paratus Group switched on a 2 000 km terrestrial fibre corridor dubbed G2M (Goma‑to‑Mombasa), linking Mombasa (Kenya) to Goma (DRC) via Nairobi (Kenya), Kampala (Uganda) and Kigali (Rwanda). The new route delivers high‑capacity, low‑latency connectivity for carriers, ISPs and enterprise clients across East Africa, strengthening digital infrastructure and already carrying traffic for its first wholesale customers. The deployment expands Paratus’s regional footprint through its subsidiaries Paratus Kenya, Paratus Uganda, Paratus Rwanda with partners ROKE TELKOM and MoveOn Telecoms.
