Gabon : economic partnership agreement with UAE to boost bilateral trade
On 7 February 2026, Gabon and the United Arab Emirates signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in Abu Dhabi. The agreement aims to boost bilateral trade to 176.2 billion CFA francs (environ $320 M) and diversify Gabon’s economy beyond hydrocarbons. In 2025, non‑oil trade had already reached 176.5 billion CFA francs (environ $320.7 M).
