Ghana : nearly $13M from AfDB to fast-track enabling studies for key projects

Ghana has secured approximately $13 million in financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) to expedite technical studies to make several structural projects bankable.
The funds will support detailed engineering, cost estimation, financial viability assessments, and environmental and social analyses for priority infrastructure.
This support aligns with the national Big Push infrastructure programme — a $10 billion plan to modernise the economy by 2027, featuring a $2.8 billion road envelope for 2026. AfDB’s funding will help prepare these initiatives for co-financing by public and private partners.
