Ethiopia : IMF releases $261M to boost economic reforms

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a $261 million disbursement following the fourth review of Ethiopia’s Extended Credit Facility (ECF).
This brings the total IMF support to about $2.18 billion, aimed at stabilizing the economy, advancing structural reforms, strengthening foreign reserves, and controlling inflation, with the IMF emphasizing the need for sustained implementation to ensure long-term stability.
