Kenya : signing of a trade deal with China granting duty-free access to 98.2% of exports

Kenya has reached a preliminary trade agreement with China allowing 98.2% of its exports to enter the Chinese market duty-free, according to Trade Minister Lee Kinyanjui. The deal aims to diversify markets and reduce trade imbalances, as Nairobi faces higher U.S. tariffs and uncertainty over the renewal of the AGOA. The agreement still requires approval by Kenya’s Parliament.
