After he broke banking rules, the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) ordered the major Zimbabwean banker, George Manyere (founder of Brainworks Capital Management), to step down from both the majority shareholding and the board position of Zambian financial technology company MyBucks.
The BoZ believes that the actions of Manyere and his counterpart, Barkat Ali, were detrimental to MyBucks Zambia stakeholders after the duo guaranteed US $ 10 million in favor of Ever Prosperous, in exchange for an asset allegedly valued at US $ 5 million which was to be acquired at a later date.
