The Women in Tech Global Summit is for the « Game Changers and HERoes » who are creating the future. The next edition will take place May 30th – May 31st in Paris.

The Women in Tech Global Summit is an event that will take place from May 30 to May 31, 2022 in Paris, under the high patronage of Elisabeth Moreno, French Deputy Minister for Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities.
Its theme « HERoes Shaping tomorrow » celebrates the women around the world who are the architects, creators and innovators of tomorrow’s society and economy.
« Over the past four decades, the gender gap in tech has indeed increased, with only one out of five women working in the industry today. WOMEN IN TECH intends to reverse this trend » said the event’s organizators in a press release.
The goal: 5 million women and girls by 2030 in STEM occupations
WOMEN IN TECH is an international non-profit organization working for more diversity and inclusion in tech. Headquartered in Paris, WOMEN IN TECH is a global movement with offices on 6 continents and over 170,000 members.
WOMEN IN TECH is part of the Edison Alliance (WEF), a global movement of 47 leading players, « champions » from the public and private sectors, who are committed to making digital inclusion a fundamental part of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, so that everyone can participate in the digital economy at an affordable price.
The activity of WOMEN IN TECH focuses on 4 main areas. Each of them calls for action and development: education, business, digital inclusion and lobbying.

300 delegates:the Makers, Shakers and Innovators of a new era, motivated by the desire to change the status quo
Attendees will learn about the key global trends of tomorrow and connect with other SHAKERS, MAKERS & INNOVATORS. The event will bring together approximately 300 delegates: thought leaders from business, civil society, government and the arts, representing 30 countries – the Makers, Shakers and Innovators of a new era, motivated by the desire to change the status quo.
An extensive 2 day program with inspiring plenary sessions, panel discussions and meetings with companies. An example: Web3: a paradigm shift towards the future of digital ubiquity Web3, Blockchain protocols, NFTs and the Metaverse are all topics that are attracting the interest and attention of average people on the street, governments, large companies, institutions, startups, influencers and brands. Is there more to the hype than that? How can these technologies solve real-world problems and who is doing it right?
Among the speakers Zarifa Ghafari, activist and one of the only female mayors in Afghan history and the youngest – appointed at 26; Dr. Vjosa Osmani, President of Kosovo; Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Marwan Al Maktoum, a member of the Dubai Royal Family, she first obtained her commercial pilot’s license and then joined the Dubai Police Squadron as a first lieutenant pilot, becoming the first woman in the UAE and the Gulf region, and the first member of the royal family in aviation, etc.
The summit’s honorary president, Christyl Johnson, deputy director for Technology and Research Investments at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, will lead the space panel, where she will discuss « Space Exploration – Opportunities for Equality, Empowerment and Innovation. »
The summit will take place at the Westin Paris Vendôme and the 3 Mazarium, a unique space at the Institut de France.
