USA : $2.3B to strengthen Uganda’s health system and $364M for Lesotho

On December 10, 2025, the United States signed two major bilateral health agreements with Uganda and Lesotho. The five-year Uganda deal mobilizes $2.3B ($1.7B US + $0.6B UG) to combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and reinforce health systems, including digitalization and military medical services. Lesotho will receive $364M to fight HIV, improve healthcare workforce capacity, and implement innovative tech solutions.
