Uganda has announced nine potential wells in the Kasuruban block, with an estimated 600 million barrels of recoverable oil. State-owned UNOC notes these reserves will support the $10 billion EACOP pipeline from Lake Albert to Tanga port. Commercial production is expected in the second half of 2025.
