On 21 November 2025, Uganda inaugurated its first fully women-led industrial park in Kampala during the African Industrialization Day. Vice President Jessica Alupo, representing President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and Ron Osman Omar from the African Union Commission praised the initiative, which promotes female participation in agro-processing, textiles, and metallurgy. Ten additional parks are planned nationwide to strengthen women’s leadership and regional industrial integration.
