On 26 November 2025, Kenyan billionaire Narendra Raval inaugurated a 550 million USD steel plant in Tororo, marking Devki Group’s first major expansion outside Kenya. Spanning 400 acres, the facility will reduce Uganda’s steel imports and supply regional markets (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, DRC). Over 20,000 direct and indirect jobs are expected, boosting manufacturing and local supply chains.
