Uganda: 8.5% growth in Q4 2025 as $5 billion oil pipeline reaches 80% completion
Uganda’s economy expanded by 8.5% in Q4 2025, up from 5.4% a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Finance. Growth was driven by strong consumption and construction activity. Meanwhile, the $5 billion EACOP pipeline is now 80% complete. Stretching 1,443 km, it will connect oil fields to Tanzania’s Tanga port. The government expects $587 million in oil revenues in FY2026/2027, with production set to begin in the second half of 2026.
