The Nawara gas field should start operating in the first quarter of the current year, after a long delay caused by social protests but also by certain technical problems. The exploitation of this field should boost Tunisian natural gas production by almost 50%. Indeed, the Nawara field should cover 18% of Tunisian consumption of natural gas, and reduce its purchases by 33%
