Tunisia: Meliá plans 5 hotels and 3,000 rooms by 2030
Spanish group Meliá Hotels International announced on March 25, 2026 its entry into Tunisia through a partnership with Management Hospitality Group. The plan includes 5 hotels with a total of 3,000 rooms by 2030, starting with a 307-room resort in Mahdia in 2026. According to Tunisia’s Ministry of Tourism, the country has recently welcomed over 11 million visitors, highlighting strong demand. The expansion aims to upgrade tourism offerings and attract higher-value international visitors.
