Tunisia : launch of a $23.72M project to restore forests and boost rural economy

On April 23, 2025, Tunisia and AfDB launched in Tunis the PARFD, a $23.72 million project to restore 33,200 hectares of forests and revitalize rural economies. Funded by AfDB, the Tunisian government, and local beneficiaries, it targets 32 Mt CO₂ sequestration and 4,500 green jobs by 2030.
