Following a meeting at Carthage Palace on 25 November 2025, Afreximbank President Dr George Elombi confirmed the planned opening of a regional office in Tunis (scheduled for 2026) to ease access to finance across North Africa. The bank reiterated its support for Tunisian priorities— infrastructure, SMEs and intra-African trade— and its commitment to back strategic energy and logistics projects.
