Tunisia : ActInSpace Tunisia national space hackathon on 30‑31 January 2026

Tunisia will host ActInSpace Tunisia on 30 and 31 January 2026 at the Cité des Sciences in Tunis (CST), the national edition of the global space innovation hackathon. Organized by the African Association for Geospatial Development (AGEOS) under the international ActInSpace programme led by the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES) and the European Space Agency (ESA), the event will bring together 80 participants across more than 20 multidisciplinary teams of students, researchers, engineers, developers and entrepreneurs.

Over 24 hours, teams will tackle over 20 challenges set by partners including Airbus, Thales Avenia and CNES, using satellite data, AI, geospatial and navigation technologies to create solutions addressing societal issues such as the environment, agriculture, mobility and sustainable cities. The opening plenary will convene experts and policymakers to link space innovation with practical territorial applications. Winners will be eligible to represent Tunisia at the international ActInSpace final in Bordeaux, France in April 2026.
