On February 6, 2026, the African Development Bank signed a $50 million trade finance guarantee with BIAT in Tunis. The three-year facility will ease imports of industrial inputs, telecom and renewable energy equipment while supporting SMEs, agribusiness and low-carbon projects. It aims to strengthen supply chains, jobs and industrial growth. The deal marks AfDB’s first direct partnership with BIAT, a leading Tunisian private bank.
