According to a report entitled “The anarchic management of diaspora remittances”, financial transfers from African diasporas increased from more than 67 billion dollars in 2016 to 86 billion in 2019. After a slight decline in 2020 in a context global health crisis ($84 billion), they reached more than $97 billion, according to available estimates for the year 2022.
