Togo is launching a pilot battery energy storage system (BESS) project, funded with 112 million FCFA (USD 200,000) by AFD and GEAPP. Announced in Washington during the IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings, the 55 MW project supports the national “Mission 300” plan to achieve universal electricity access by 2030.
