From April 7 to 9, 2026, Lomé will host the 17th Conference of Speakers of Parliament of the African region of the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie. Announced on March 23, 2026 by Komi Sélom Klassou, the event will gather delegations from about 20 countries to discuss democracy, rule of law and cooperation. No official budget in dollars has been disclosed.
