TICAD 2022: Japan announces $30 billion in support for Africa

On the occasion of the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8) held on August 27 and 28 in Tunis, Japan announced, through the voice of its Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, intervening by video conference, that « the public and private sectors in Japan will provide (support to African countries) about 30 billion dollars over the next three years.

« This support, which will extend over the next three years, covers several areas, including green growth, health, education, human resources, agriculture, and encouraging investment, including for start-ups, » added the Japanese Prime Minister. Stressing in passing that Japan « wants to be a partner of an Africa that grows with it and works to overcome the challenges.
