On December 12, 2025, Eutelsat completed a $1.6 billion capital increase to strengthen its balance sheet after merging with OneWeb. Funds will support the IRIS satellite constellation and commercial expansion in Africa, where LEO broadband satellites improve connectivity, digital education, telemedicine, and business services in underserved regions.
