Tchad is creating a national oil company called Tchad Petroleum Company (TPC) S.A. The bill to create the company was passed on April 28, 2023 by members of the National Transitional Council (CNT), the body that serves as the interim parliament. 134 councillors voted in favour, 11 abstained and 11 voted against.
