The African Development Bank (AfDB) Board has approved a $10 million trade finance guarantee facility for Exim Bank Tanzania. The scheme will provide up to 100% coverage for international confirming banks against payment risks, unlocking trade lines and boosting private sector growth. Expected to support $60 million in trade over three years, the facility will ease SME access to finance and benefit strategic sectors including agriculture, energy, healthcare, and manufacturing.
