Tanzania : Hip-Hop Asili Festival returns to Dar es Salaam on June 27 & 28
On June 27 and 28, Dar es Salaam becomes the epicenter of urban culture with the return of the Hip-Hop Asili Festival. This now-iconic annual event highlights the many dimensions of African hip-hop through concerts, workshops, and discussions.
Since its inception, the Hip-Hop Asili Festival has served as a catalyst for creativity and reflection. This year’s edition will gather artists from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, as well as international guests.

MCs, DJs, dancers, graffiti artists, and activists will share their art while engaging in dialogue about the social issues that drive the hip-hop movement.
