Sustainable Finance : Société Générale and IFC sign agreement to facilitate financing solutions in developing countries

Société Générale and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have signed an agreement to accelerate sustainable finance in developing countries. The goal is to facilitate diverse financing solutions, mobilizing private investments for climate transition. The partnership aims to support sustainable finance projects in access to energy, water, infrastructure, sustainable agriculture, and women’s entrepreneurship.

The institutions will share their expertise in impact measurement. With a strong history of cooperation, this partnership will leverage Société Générale’s expertise in structured finance and ESG, along with IFC’s experience as a global private sector-focused development institution. The enhanced partnership will contribute to sustainable projects aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, employing a strategic approach and ESG commitments.
