South Africa : 5,000 MW nuclear program to boost energy stability

South Africa has unveiled a 5,000 MW nuclear investment plan with NECSA to strengthen electricity supply and curb blackouts. Announced by Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, the project is the country’s largest nuclear expansion since the Koeberg plant. It aims to ensure energy security and reduce reliance on coal.
