Pau summit G5 Sahel presidents want « the continuation of French military engagement » (Official statement)

The French President and the Heads of State of the five Sahelian countries, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré (Burkina Faso), Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta (Mali), Mohamed Ould el-Ghazouani (Mauritania), Mahamadou Issoufou (Niger) and Idriss Déby (Chad) found themselves on January 13 at the castle of Pau, a city in the southwest of France bereaved by the loss of seven of its soldiers in Mali.
