From October 25 to November 3, 2024, the International Craft Fair of Ouagadougou (SIAO) welcomed over 350,000 visitors and nearly 500 exhibitors from across Africa. This edition highlighted African artisanal expertise, creating significant business opportunities. Despite Burkina Faso’s challenging political and security context, the event’s success reflects the resilience and dedication of its organizers and participants. SIAO 2024 thus reaffirms its role as a key platform for promoting African craftsmanship.
