In the fight against poverty, Senegal has made significant expenditures. They increased from 192.4 billion FCFA in 2010 to 416.0 billion FCFA in 2020, i.e. an average annual growth rate of 7.3%. Between 2010 and 2021, overall social protection expenditure represents less than 11.0% of the general budget and less than 3.0% of GDP.
