On April 27, 2025, Senegal officially launched its Food System Resilience Program (PRSA–FSRP) with a budget of 153 billion FCFA (about $248 million USD). Led by Agriculture Minister Dr. Mabouba Diagne, the six-year initiative aims to transform agriculture through production, governance, irrigation, and innovation. Over 600,000 people are expected to benefit, including 240,000 women.
