Brazilian state-owned oil company Petrobras has obtained rights to carry out oil and gas exploration activities covering blocks 10, 11 and 13 in the upstream segment of São Tomé and Príncipe’s oil industry.
The company secured a 45% stake in Blocks 10 and 13, as well as a 25% interest in Block 11. This, in a competitive process facilitated by Anglo-Dutch company Shell, the operator of these areas of interest.
