Gaspard Twagirayezu, state minister responsible for primary and secondary education, revealed that some 10,864 primary and secondary school teachers were hired this week. Without an education degree, they get a one-year contract for temporary employment. Then, he said, teachers will follow a compulsory educational course to be able to claim a permanent contract.
