Rwanda: New cryptocurrency regulations set for 2025
Rwanda will introduce regulations governing the use and trade of cryptocurrencies in the first quarter of 2025, according to John Rwangomba, Governor of the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR). In partnership with the Capital Market Authority (CMA), authorities will develop standards based on international practices. Although concerns about volatility remain, the regulations are seen as necessary to ensure stability and control in this rapidly growing sector.
