Rwanda: Kigali hosted FIFA Series 2026
From March 25 to 30, 2026, Rwanda became the hub of international football in East Africa with the FIFA Series 2026, featuring 8 national teams in Kigali. The tournament, organized by Fédération rwandaise de football association (FERWAFA), highlighted Rwanda’s capacity to host world-class events. The Amavubi, coached by Stephen Constantine, opened their campaign on March 27 against Grenada at Amahoro Stadium, while Kenya played Estonia. Group B featured Tanzania, Liechtenstein, Aruba and Macao at Pelé Stadium. Group winners will meet in the final to conclude the series.
