Rwanda : Ashurst advises J.P. Morgan on a €200 million sustainable loan

International law firm Ashurst advised J.P. Morgan, as arranger and lender, on a €200 million sustainable loan to the Republic of Rwanda, co-financed by the African Development Bank with a guarantee from the African Development Fund. This financing will support strategic projects aligned with Rwanda’s Vision 2050, aimed at achieving a carbon-neutral economy. The Ashurst team, led by Tom Longmuir, collaborated with ENSafrica for the Rwandan legal aspects. This transaction strengthens J.P. Morgan’s commitment to sustainable financing in Africa.
