Rwanda’s economy grew 8.9% in 2024, up from 8.2% in 2023, according to the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda. The growth was driven by strong harvests and robust industrial and service sectors. Agriculture expanded by 5%, while industry and services each grew 10%. The central bank kept its key interest rate at 6.5% in February, citing stable inflation.
