BPR Bank Rwanda, Bank of Kigali, and BRD will issue over $322 million in guarantees for the construction of the new Bugesera International Airport. On July 10, 2025, pan-African insurer ATIDI (African Trade and Investment Development Insurance) approved an $84 million credit risk cover, unlocking funding for this strategic project co-developed with Qatar.
